What is a Hole Saw?

A hole saw is a circular blade with teeth on its outer edge and is mounted on an arbor (a rod that fits into a drill chuck). Hole saws rotate when the drill is turned on, cutting precisely through the material. Unlike standard drill bits, these powerful cutting tools can create larger holes without removing the core material! This makes hole saws efficient and powerful and an ideal choice for projects where cutting larger holes is needed. 

Types of Hole Saws

The bi-metal ones are made from a combination of steel and high-speed steel and are the most cost-effective option.
